Hi, I’m Shreya. I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Autism and Behavioural Sciences and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and I’m currently completing my Master’s in Counselling at Deakin University.

I have always been interested in understanding people. Growing up, I found myself wondering why two people could experience the same situation so differently, or why one child would respond to something in a way another wouldn’t. That curiosity stayed with me. It led me to study human behaviour, and eventually to behaviour support, where I could combine that interest with practical ways of improving people’s everyday lives.

Working with children has only reinforced what I already believed: behaviour never exists in isolation. Every child brings their own personality, experiences, strengths, relationships, and way of seeing the world. I enjoy taking the time to understand those differences rather than assuming one approach will work for everyone. I believe the best outcomes come from working collaboratively with children, families, educators, and other professionals to develop supports that are practical, individualised, and meaningful.

Through my work, I have supported children and adolescents across home, school, and community settings. My approach is grounded in Positive Behaviour Support, with a focus on building skills, increasing independence, and creating environments where children can succeed. I value evidence-based practice, but I also recognise that every recommendation needs to make sense for the child, the family, and the people supporting them every day.

One of the things I enjoy most about this work is that no two days are the same. Every child teaches me something new, and every family offers a different perspective. That constant opportunity to learn is what continues to inspire me. At the centre of my practice is a simple belief: meaningful support starts with understanding the person before the behaviour.
