In Social Growing, children learn the expanding developmental skills needed for social interaction, emphasizing social-emotional, social communication, and early cognitive skills. Skills in Social Growing are basic, building on the early foundational and prerequisite social skills, such as those in our Social Beginning program. The Social Growing program includes skills such as using lots of words, signs, or symbols, meeting behavioural expectations in familiar environments, identifying common concepts, and indicating the need to use the toilet. The program uses familiar routines and activities to teach a range of specific developmentally early goals and for improving the quality of routines and activities.
